hello there!
Holidays are for sharing cheer, memories and blessings with the ones we love. In addition to loving on my family and my recent photoshoot with Dallas (right), I wanted to hear from my girls and family on how they are celebrating this year! I chatted with four of our fellow socialites, Olivia E. and Morgan W, and my brother Matt and his honey, Ahlexa. Read below to learn more about their holiday traditions and feel free to join the conversation below!
OE: My favorite holiday memory would have to be the year I got the 10-speed bike I wanted for so long and didn’t think I was going to get.
MW: My favorite holiday memory is Christmas Eve activities. We traditionally eat tamales with queso, have hot chocolate, and stroll around neighborhoods viewing Christmas lights and listening to Christmas music. I have done this since I was a little girl and continue it now.
MH: My favorite holiday memory is my son’s second Christmas and seeing his excitement.
AP: As a kid, I looked forward to Christmas break. No school and I get to travel to gram and pawpaw’s?! Bet!
OE: One holiday tradition that I can’t live without is decorating the Christmas tree with all the ornaments from past years and my favorite Christmas songs playing in the background. I also live for drinking hot chocolate or tea while making cookies for Santa and enjoying the company of family all close together, under one roof.
MW: One holiday tradition I can’t live without is going to a holiday market. Now that I have spent time in Europe it is unmatched! The lights, the creativity, the different foods and drinks–it’s truly magical!
MH: One holiday tradition I can’t live without is watching NBA Christmas and Football bowl games.
OE: This holiday season I am truly grateful for my family and the amazing group of friends I have. I recently took a trip with all of my close hometown friends that made me realize how blessed I am to have them in my life. They are the family I chose, and for that I am grateful.
MW: This holiday season I’m grateful for my health and the health of my family. We had a lot of loss in 2019, and I am just thankful to have health and family this season!
MH: This holiday season I’m grateful for being able to share memorable experiences with friends and loved ones throughout the year.
AP: This holiday season I’m grateful for family…nothing more, nothing less.
OE: Steps that I am taking to further my purpose include finishing my 200-hour yoga teacher training and working toward creating a marketing plan to pitch for private events in the upcoming new year.
MW: Steps that I’m taking to get me closer to my purpose are taking time everyday for self reflection and evaluation. I’m also making more intentional and specific plans to help me reach all the big goals I have for 2020.
MH: Steps that I’m taking to get me closer to my purpose include pushing myself out of my comfort zone and living in the moment.
AP: In order to get closer to my purpose, I’m holding myself responsible and accountable, as well as setting and achieving goals.
